Why ICX Company ?
Bangladesh telecommunications sector began with small steps in 1989 with the issuance of a licence to a private operator for the provision of inter alia cellular mobile services to compete. Significant changes in the number of fixed and mobile services deployed in Bangladesh occurred in the late 1990s and the number of services in operation have subsequently grown exponentially in the past five years.
The incentives both from government and public sectors have helped to grow this sector. It is now one of the biggest sector of Bangladesh. As a populous country, it's huge market has attracted many foreign investors to invest in this sector.
Interconnection is one of the most serious problems that is emerging with the increase in number of operators with open market conditions. With the increase of number of operators in different services, the number of interconnect links between operators will increase in multiples and will be very soon unmanageable. The concept of Interconnection Exchange(ICX) cum Inter-Carrier Billing Clearing House is a further step towards creation of a modern and efficient telecommunications infrastructure.
It can be assumed that international call will increase considerably every year due to the factors like increasing numbers of Bangladeshi expatriates out side the country. This will also help to enhance the domestic tele-density and increase the business activities. As one of the central hub of telecommunications of Bangladesh we undertake:
1. Routing all international incoming calls received from International Gateway (IGW) and terminates up to the operator for both mobile and fixed lines.
2. Routing all international outgoing calls received from the operator and terminates up to IGW.
3. Routing all inter-operator calls with in the country for both mobile and fixed lines.
